Wie gefällt euch seine neue CD? Finde sie gut (wenn auch "ungewöhnlich")!

einfach mal unter konzerte klicken.....und dann beim Boss nachsehen.....geht mir im Treff manchmal auch so...nicht wahr LQ ....da sieht man den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht mehr, wenn man hingerissen ist...
.....geht mir jedenfalls beim neuen Album von Springsteen auch so.....einfach nur Klasse!

Kritik habe ich gesten Nacht unter Konzerte - abgelegt......und auch noch einen Tag später wirkt das noch nach....müde aber glücklich dabeigewesen zu sein....

muss wohl doch neben dem Stones, Ray Davies, Tom Waits und Achim Reichel Schrein einen neuen anlegen...

DVD Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band live in Barcelona.
Nur absolut geil.
Und Little Steven, den ich mal mit nur 20 Leuten zusammen mit seiner Band in Kiel erlebt habe.
Traum für heute Nacht.
Nun wird alles besser.
Ach ja, Empfehlung !!!

NEWS - Bruce Springsteen gibt zwei weitere Konzerte in Deutschland

Frankfurt/Main (dpa) - Nach seinem gefeierten Konzert Mitte Mai in Frankfurt kommt US-Rockstar Bruce Springsteen erneut nach Deutschland: In Hamburg (12.10.) und Köln (6.11.) präsentiert der 56-Jährige sein aktuelles Programm «We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions».

Das teilte die Konzertagentur Marek Lieberberg in Frankfurt mit. Gemeinsam mit 17 Straßenmusikern bringt der «Boss» Songs des US-Folksängers und Bürgerrechtlers Pete Seeger auf die Bühne - ein Abend voll Gospel, Folk und Blues. Den bislang einzigen Deutschlandauftritt der Truppe mit Akkordeon, Fiedel, Banjo und Songs wie «We Shall Overcome» und «Jessie James» hatten am 17. Mai 8000 Fans in der Frankfurter Festhalle bejubelt. Der Vorverkauf für die Konzerte im Herbst beginnt an diesem Freitag.

sein neues album ist bald draußen und zum album kommt er im winter und wahrscheinlich im nächsten sommer auf europa-tour!

titel des albums ist "magic" und es ist wohl ein e-street-band-album!!!

release der scheibe soll anfang oktober geschehen.

einen ersten hörbericht hat ein amerikanischer radiomoderator geschrieben, der ziemlich begeister war. deshalb will ich euch ads nicht vorenthalten:

So, Magic.

Seated between a pair of outstanding speakers and handed a book with the lyrics, the Magic began.

Quick observations: this album rocks…these songs will KILL in a live concert setting…lots, LOTS of rocking guitars…I still don’t know why it’s called Magic…nary a ballad…Clarence Clemons rocks…I can’t wait to find out how the actual recording of this album played out…any crap that Brendan O’Brien took for The Rising (undeserved in my book) will be long forgotten…these songs will sound great on the radio…Bruce Springsteen “songwriter” is a national treasure.

The production is big, without getting in the way. While The Rising demanded a certain atmosphere and Devils & Dust surely came from its own place, this album is an exclamation point in the Springsteen/O’Brien studio pairing. This is a confident sounding record, made by artists who trust each other and their art.

Radio Nowhere
Coming soon to a radio near you. Great lead off song. This could easily be the guy in “Open All Night” 25 years burning down the road. This song rocks, but the whole time, the guy in the song asks “is anybody alive out there?” like his life depends on it. Classic E Street with a monster solo from C.
And as the guy drives along he sings…

Awesome and terrifying at the same time.

You’ll Be Comin’ Down
Another song where C shines…spotlight on the Big Man. This is one about someone getting their comeuppance–a whole “what goes around comes around” thing. Karma!

Livin’ In The Future
The most “pop” song on the album. Classic E Street–Big C again and a song that would fit anywhere from Born To Run to Born In The U.S.A.

Your Own Worst Enemy
I liked this one a lot. Reminded me of the vibe of both Darkness and The River, also not unlike None But The Brave. Great harmony vocals.

Gypsy Biker
A song about a gypsy biker who is coming home. Starts with a beautiful harmonica and acoustic and ends up a flat out rocker. Very powerful lyrics. Loved it and can’t wait to hear it live.

Girls In Their Summer Clothes
Hmmmm…girls in their summer clothes don’t like the hero in this song. My notes for this one said “lyrics very specific, very precise.” While this was not one of my favorites, the lyrics are so well written that you feel like you’re on the street as “the girls in their summer clothes pass me by.”

I’ll Work For Your Love
CatholicSchool…CatholicSchool…CatholicSchool. Bruce has used a lot of Catholic imagery as of late, and this song certainly has that. Beautiful piano intro, and another one that I really liked.

Magic
Interesting that this is the title cut. This one could have easily been on Devils & Dust. The word “magic” does not appear in the song. I need to hear it again, I guess. : )

Last To Die
Great songwriting here. Driving drums.

Long Walk Home
Probably the best song on the album. We know how great the lyrics are, this is played with passion and tempo by Bruce and the band. Wow. Max and Garry flat out kill this song, and there is an amazing guitar solo. This song will destroy concert halls all over the world. Amazing.

Devil’s Arcade
The lyrics that are posted on the web are wrong. You’ll be happy, because this song is great–again with lyrics that are simply amazing. Big guitars, big strings–I really liked this one a lot.

It’s easy to toss around superlatives when discussing Bruce’s work (and yeah, I’m biased), but this is a great, great album. I keep coming back to the preciseness and the specific ness of the lyrics. These are streets that do have names. And the people who walk–drive–run those streets have purpose. And when the band plays…

Do you believe in Magic? I do.

Mannheim (dpa) - Bruce Springsteen kommt im Dezember für zwei Konzerte nach Deutschland. Der «Boss» («Born in the U.S.A.») und seine E-Street Band spielen am 2. Dezember in der Mannheimer SAP Arena und elf Tage später (13. Dezember) in Köln (Kölnarena), wie Veranstalter Marek Lieberberg ankündigte.

Ende September erscheint Springsteens neue CD «Magic». Der 57-Jährige hat allein in den USA mehr als 60 Millionen Tonträger verkauft und ist damit einer der kommerziell erfolgreichsten Rockmusiker überhaupt.

Aus alter Anhänglichkeit (ich fang´s langsam an, Blödheit zu nennen) kauf ich mir
immer, was der Kerl so rausbringt. Diesmal hat er mich enttäuscht wie nie zuvor.
Der ist wirklich ausgebrannt, dem kann höchstens noch Rick Rubin helfen.

Seine neue Platte MAGIC ist alles, aber bestimmt nich MAGISCH:
Auf ausgetretenen Pfaden kopiert er sich selbst. Jedes Lied, aber auch
jedes klingt wie irgendein (besserer) Song der letzten Platten.

Der Sound ist katastrophal, er sollte seinen Produzenten einen Arschtritt
verpassen. Schön, einfach ist es nicht, zehn Leute die mit Verstärker
voll aufgedreht losdröhnen so abzumischen, dass es gut klingt. Aber
mieser als die 70er-Platten von Springsteen sollte eine des Jahres
2007 auch nicht klingen müssen.

Die Songs: sterbenslangweilig, mieses Songwriting alle Songs klingen gleich, Eigenzitate wo man nur hinhört... seine Stimme wird auch immer schlechter.... Einfälle wirklich
nulll. Wohl nur gemacht die Jungs von der E-Street-Band ihren Lebensstandard
halten können. Wer Springsteen heute noch den Boss nennt, dem ist ja nicht mehr
zu helfen... Der Mann hat 1988 seine letzte gute Platte rausgebracht, dann
ist steil den Berg runter. Dem fällt nichts mehr ein, seine Stimme läßt ihn
im Stich... schade um die 13 Euro, schade um die Zeit, sogar noch
Schade um den Strom. Der soll wirklich mal endlich die Klappe halten.

yep - muss ich Dirty Worker leider leider Recht geben.

Bin ein ausgewiesener Boss-Fan, und habe nur die seelenlosen Pete Seeger-Sessions ausgelassen. Sonst liebe ich alles vom Boss.

Aber Magic ist kalt und ohne Begeisterung.
Früher hatte man überzählige Lieder nicht auf ein Album gepackt sondern einfach weggeworfen.
Dann hat man ein offizielles Reste-Album daraus gemacht, wie 18 Tracks.
Heute wird der Schrott als offizieller neuer Release verpackt.

Und - die Soundqualität so mies wie früher.
Springsteen's Vinyl klang noch nie gut, mit Ausnahme von Rising. Aber nun wieder ein Sound der klingt als hingen nasse Handtücher vor den Mikrofonen.

Ja, die 18 Tracks sowie die Box Tracks von Springsteen ist übervoll mit Super-Songs... und diese Diamanten hat er seinerzeit (wohl weil ihm nix Neues einfiel) aus dem Mülleimer geholt. Man stelle sich das vor:

Solche Songs wie auf Tracks waren damals „Abfallprodukte“!!! Wer die Box noch nicht hat, soll sie sich schnappen – 24 Euro für 4 CDs bei jpc.

Die neue dagegen – entsetzlich. Und es stimmt genau, Wenzelchen: Da ist keine Begeisterung drin, kein Feuer, keine Überzeugung. Oft denkt man, jetzt schläft er bald selber ein. Völlig zahnlos. Weil ihm im Gegensatz zu früher (sehr viel früher) auch keine Texte mehr einfallen, singt er meistens 20 mal den Refrain und beendet eine Menge Lieder mit einer halben Minute la-la-la-la-la-Chor. Früher brachte der ganze Romane in einem Song, wirklich gute Geschichten.

Ich glaub, Springsteen wollte die Platte gar nicht machen, hatte aber Verträge zu erfüllen. Denke, sein Herz hängt mittlerweile überhaupt nicht mehr an der Rock-Musik, sondern am Folk und solchen Balladen wie auf Tom Joad oder Devils and Dust. Ein E-Street-Album macht er wohl nur um seine Kumpels von früher nicht im Stich zu lassen und weils die Plattenfirma will. Entsprechend lustlos kurbelt er das dann runter... Wahrscheinlich weiß er eh selber ganz gut, dass die E-Street-Masche schon längst tot und ausgelutscht ist.

Springsteen hatte in den 70ern echt was zu sagen und das tat er mit wirklicher Leidenschaft. Dann passierte ihm Born in the USA, plötzlich war er weltweit DER Star und stinkreich. Das hat ihn so satt gemacht, dass ihm die Inspiration seitdem ganz abhanden gekommen ist. Der unauffälligste Song seines Debüt-albums Greetings from Asbury Park hat noch hundertmal mehr Feuer und Energie als das gesamte neue Album.
