Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Regroup Possible

(Gibson) Keith Richards has tossed out some hope to fans wanting to see The Rolling Stones reconvene next year for a 50th anniversary tour. In a just-published interview with GQ,
Richards said down-time from the Stones is a bit like "being in purgatory." "Next year is sort of up for grabs," he said. "It's almost an overwhelming power – it'll be 50 years.
So there's that sort of pressure. If I can pull them together, I'm there."

Richards also brushed aside less-than-flattering revelations he made about Mick Jagger in his book, Life. "Life's life," he said. "I really don't want to go into it anymore,
because what is in the book is in the book, and the fact is that Mick and I still talk and are still working together.
So maybe that was another balance that needed to be sorted out. Mick and me, two guys divided by love."

Richards is currently rehearsing new material with his other band, the X-Pensive Winos. "I hardly played [guitar] at all for two years," he revealed.
"I'm sort of basically recovering from the book, and this is my therapy at the moment. In the process of doing it, my chops are coming back."

Im Grunde enthält der Text ja nichts neues, außer das da was mit den Vino's läuft.
Denke mal Keith sichert sich jetzt schon mal in beide Richtungen ab, wenns nix von den Stones mehr gibt, dann kommt wohl was von den Vinos, schauen wir mal.

Okay, das lässt ja eigentlich hoffen. Ich würde eine weitere Tour sehr begrüßen. Ich habe sie leider nur das eine Mal bei der Bridges to Babylon Tour gesehen. Bigger Bang hat bei mir leider nicht hingehauen, da meine Mutter zu der Zeit schwer krank war und ich keine Zeit aufbringen konnte irgendwo hin zu reisen. Eine Tour zum 50. Jubiläum wäre der Hammer, aber es wäre bestimmt auch nicht ganz einfach an Tickets zu kommen, je nachdem, wie groß sie das aufziehen.

Dieses gebannte Warten macht mich wuschig. Ist schlimmer als eine Tour-Absage. Dann wüßte man wenigstens Bescheid.

btw: Vergeßt nicht ein Album aufzunehmen, bevor Ihr auf Tour geht. Und wenn's nur ein Blues-Coveralbum ist, das binnen zwei Tagen eingespielt wird

Also wenn man versucht objektiv zu denken, die Jungs haben zig Welttourneen hinter sich, die dickste war die letzte (ABB) und dann sollten Sie ausgerechnet zum 50 jährigen Bandjubiläum nichts machen? Nee, das kann ich mir absolut nicht vorstellen.

Vorallem, überlegt mal, diese Some Girls Sachen oder auch die Exile Tracks wurden ja neu eingesungen (neu eingespielt?), also scheint das Studioaktivitäät da zu sein, ich denke schon, dass da was kommen wird und ne "besondere" Tour (wie auch immer die aussehen mag).

Ansonsten DITO Pokalheld, die sollen ins Studio gehen und frei von der Leber weg ne Bluessession aufnehmen, das wärs doch!

Habe ein Sprichwort aus dem 15.Jahrhundert gefunden:

" A rolling stone gathers no moss" (ein rollender Stein setzt kein Moos an)!

Woher wußte man damals, ob es mal die Rolling Stones gibt?
