New York gewinnt den Superbowl

Die New York Giants sind überraschend neuer Meister in der amerikanischen National Football-League (NFL). Die Giants bezwangen im Endspiel, dem Superowl, die hoch favorisierten New England Patriots mit 17:14.

Die Entscheidung im ausverkauften Stadion von glendale (Arizona), fiel in dem dramatischen Spiel, 35 Sekunden vor Schluss, als Plaxico Burress ein Touchdown für den Außenseiter gelang. Für New York war es der erste Titelgewinn seit 1991.

New England musste hingegen im wichtigsten Spiel der Saison die erste Niederlage hinnehmen. Zuvor hatte das Team alle 18 Partien gewonnen. Zum "wertvollsten Spieler" (MVP) wurde Giants-Quaterback Eli Manning gewählt.

Jetzt ist bis 07. September Pause.

tom hat mir echt gut gefallen! die idee mit der ins herz fliegenden gitarre am anfang war nicht schlecht!

er war gestern besser als prince im letzten jahr. an U2 (2002) kommt er allerdings nicht ganz ran - schon allein wegen der 9/11-sache...

Auch der übertragende US-Sender CBS reibt sich schon vor dem Kick-off die Hände. Trotz der Wirtschaftskrise konnte der TV-Kanal alle 60 Werbefenster verkaufen. Ein 30-Sekunden-Spot kostete stattlich drei Millionen Dollar.

Wird ein spannendes Spiel, da bin ich mir sicher. Ich hoffe mal, dass die Packers es nach Hause bringen. Irgendwie mag ich die Steelers nicht. Liegt glaube ich daran, dass die Steelers 2005 gegen die Seahawks gewonnen haben.

Heute ist wieder Super Bowl Sunday. Giants gegen Patriots. Ich bin sehr gespannt, tendenziell bin ich eher auf New Yorker Seite, aber mir kommt es hauptsächlich auf ein spannendes Spiel an.

Und gute Kommentatoren... Wenn das so mies ist wie in den letzten Jahren, dann werde ich auf ESPN Internetstreams umstellen.
