Tom Waits

1999 war es auch für mich sehr schwer Karten zu bekommen: ein einziges Konzert in ganz Italien (Florenz). Erst 2008 konnte ich endlich Waits live erleben. In der Rehie vor mir saßen Bassist und Gitarrist von R.E.M. (!) mit Robyn Hitchcock. Es war ein tolles Konzert.
Übrigens, die neue CD läuft bei mir ständig von mehrere Tage. Ich finde es ist das Beste, das er seit 1992 herausgebracht hat (Bone Machine, damals war Keith Richards auch dabei). Auch die Idee mit den 3 Bonus Tracks auf eine gesonderte CD finde ich gut. Die extra Songs sind zwar gut, aber mit 45 Minuten ist eine gute CD vollkommen, finde ich

Tom Waits ist am 24.4. bei der David Lettermann Show zu Gast und wird dort erstmals Live einge Songs aus dem Album Bad As Me zum besten geben. Tags darauf noch mal bei Jimmy Fallon
Sollte man vielleicht mal reinschauen, vielleicht gibts ja zusätzlich auch noch Keith dazu

So ist es. Wenn Du mehr in der Art suchst kann ich dir "Bad As Me" (siehe Postings auf Seite 2) nur wärmstens empfehlen. Die Bandbreite, die Tom auf diesem Album rüberbringt ist phantastisch oder wie ein anderer schreiben würde:
Dieses Album zählt zu meinen Top-Favoriten!

Danke für den Tip, hab' ich natürlich auch schon längst, wirklich starkes Album. Mir persönlich gefällt auch das 3er Set "Orphans" sehr gut, da sind wirklich verdammt viele starke Stücke drauf.

So, ich belebe jetzt einen sehr alten Thred wieder.
