EMI setzt große Hoffnungen in Live-8-DVD

Am 7. November veröffentlicht EMI ein 4-DVD-Set von den zehn Live-8-Shows im Juli dieses Jahres. EMI Chairman und CEO Tony Wadsworth erwartet viel von der Veröffentlichung: "Wenn alles zusammenpasst, wird dies die meistverkaufte Musik-DVD aller Zeiten. Sie wird im vierten Quartal den Markt beherrschen." Die DVD wird vom gleichen Team zusammengestellt, das auch die im vergangenen Jahr erschienene Live-Aid-DVD betreut hat. Zu sehen ist das komplette Line-Up aus Großbritannien und den USA sowie Ausschnitte von den anderen Veranstaltungen. Rund 150 Fernsehsender und 400 Radiostationen weltweit hatten die Konzerte übertragen. Der Erlös soll dem Band Aid Trust zugute kommen, der Armut und Hunger in Afrika bekämpft.

Jimi Hendrix - Live at Woodstock DVD (Deluxe Edition) VÖ 23.09.05

Diese spezielle Doppel - DVD zeigt Jimi Hendrix mit seiner weltbekannten Performance "Live At Woodstock" 1964. Im Gegensatz zu der Original VHS von 1994 und der späteren DVD, die nur 57 Minuten von Jimi Hendrixs Auftritt beim Woodstock Festival zeigen, wurde nun das gesamte Filmmaterial, das von Jimis legendären Auftritts existiert, mühevoll restauriert und neu editiert! Hierdurch konnten viele Szenen wieder hergestellt werden und sind nun erstmalig zu sehen! Das Ergebnis ist eine Frame by Frame Digitalrestauration, die Jimi Hendrix detailliert und in Farbe zeigt.Die Deluxe Edition kommt somit auf insgesamt 99 Minuten plus nochmals 120 Minuten Zusatzmaterial!

Als Zusatz beinhaltet diese Deluxe Doppel-DVD noch eine Vielzahl von Bonusmaterial.
