Bernard Fowler releases first solo album
Bernard Fowler, singer for Tackhead and The Rolling Stones (backing vocals), has released his debut album on the Japanese label Village Records. It's called 'Friends With Privileges' and has an impressive lists of co-musicians.
Stones guitar player Ronnie Wood plays on two tracks, other guests are Doug Wimbish, Lisa Fischer (co-background singer with The Stones), Darryl Jones, Ivan Neville, Kid Rock, Waddy Wachtel, Steve Lukather, Simon Phillips, Phil Soussan and many others.
Fowler cover the Ron Wood track Wild Horses (öhm...) and does his own version of Trance, previously released by Jungle Funk and a classic track of most of the recent Headfake or Little Axe gigs. Also on Friends With Privileges: Get Away, a great bass oriented track, first played live during the Tackhead reunion tour in 2004.
